MOBILE OUTREACH MUSIC
PROVIDING FREE HANDS-ON MUSIC ENRICHMENT TO VETERANS, ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES, HOME-BOUND SENIORS, NON-PROFIT AGENCIES AND HOSPICE PATIENTS, IN NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA SINCE 2015!
Mobile Outreach Music is a hands-on mission, founded and provided by Wendy Songe; serving people in need and non-profit support agencies throughout the greater Tulsa area. Mobile Outreach Music was founded in the Spring of 2015, as a Pay-it-forward project for OASIS Adult Day Services for adults with disabilities, and has grown to include The Coffee Bunker Veterans Service Center, private hospice patients, and home-bound seniors living with Alzheimer's & Dementia.
The purpose of Mobile Outreach Music is to bring joy and healing to those in need, through music. Services include twice-weekly mountain dulcimer classes to veterans at The Coffee Bunker, weekly ukulele sing-alongs to adults with disabilities at OASIS Adult Day Services, soothing music & private visits to private Hospice patients, and music & memory care to home-bound seniors living with Alzheimer's & Dementia. Mobile Outreach Music provides these services free of charge to it's recipients and is solely supported by private donations and community fundraisers. To date, Mobile Outreach Music has provided over 1,000 hours of free music enrichment to those in need, and has affected hundreds of lives through its outreach. Through generous donations, Mobile Outreach Music has also provided free musical instruments, music stands, picks, capos, learning materials, listening equipment and opportunities for personal enrichment to its beneficiaries.
